A poem by moi…
I Need You
by Edie Montgomery-Pool
hold me
until i
suffocate
crush me
leave no bone
unturned
self hatred
is my
savior
but i cannot
destroy
this thing called me
alone
i need you

Nice visual presentation.
Written in fragments, but fairly clear. Nicely done.
Thanks, Benjaminchew!
My favorite poetry is always stripped to the bone. There’s an e.e. cummings vibe all over this piece. Of course, the subject matter is darker, but who wants to “be like” another poet? It’s a brave work of honesty.
I also want to thank you for reviewing my work (“Appalachian Exile”) on Book Wordz. I am seriously thrilled. I would very much like to talk to you about it when you have a moment.
I also want to know if you’ll submit some of your work to LIterary Magic Magazine for possible publication. Your flow will be welcome.
